A2.1 German Course and Level Goals

Here are the main goals of language level A2.1:

Vocabulary and Grammar Expansion: At A2.1 level, learners acquire new vocabulary and grammatical structures, enabling them to discuss a broader range of topics. They can form and understand more complex sentences, and correctly apply various tenses.

Ability to Participate in Simple Discussions: Learners should be able to participate in simple conversations and discussions by expressing their opinions, thoughts, and experiences on various topics. They can also answer others’ questions and actively participate in a dialogue.

Improvement of Listening and Reading Comprehension: At A2.1 level, learners can understand longer texts and simple dialogues dealing with familiar topics. They can extract important information from texts and establish basic connections. Their listening comprehension enables them to follow longer conversations, even if spoken slowly.

Expansion of Written Expression Skills: Learners should be able to write short texts on various topics, using coherent sentences and basic organizational structures. They can also write personal letters, emails, or short reports.
